In April 2008, mpe invested £18m of development and acquisition capital in Perspective Financial Group Limited (PFG). PFG is headquartered in Chorley, Lancashire, with a national network of offices. The Company is focused on the provision of independent financial advice to individuals and pension advice to corporate clients, together with discretionary fund management of private investment portfolios.
During mpe's investment, Perspective made 32 acquisitions and grew funds under management to £2.7bn.
In December 2019 mpe successfully exited the business by way of a secondary buyout backed by CBPE and in May 2024 the business was acquired by US private equity house Charlesbank.
