Inspirepac Ltd
In January 2007 mpe funded the MBO of the Speciality Print and Packaging Division of Mondi Group, a European paper conglomerate. A new company (inspirepac Ltd) was formed by mpe and the management team to execute the transaction.
Based in Chesterfield and Wetherby, Yorkshire, inspirepac Ltd had turnover of £35m and employed 230 people. It was the UK's leading supplier of retail packaging for the FMCG and speciality alcoholic beverage markets.
In November 2009 mpe successfully exited its investment by way of a trade sale to The Logson Group.
Inspirepac now forms part of the Smurfit Kappa group.
